The International Stockholm Junior Water Prize contest is held during the World Water Week in Stockholm each August and gathers the world’s brightest young minds to create real solutions for the global water crisis. Thousands of participants from 30 countries compete for a spot in the international finals. Here, finalists meet other water innovators, make lasting connections and are inspired to solve global water needs. The goal of the competition is to inspire young people to remain engaged in water and the environment.
The Canadian participant for the contest is selected through the Canada Wide Science Fair by a panel of judges supplied by the Canadian Member Associations of the Water Environment Federation and the Canadian Water and Wastewater Association. The winner of the Canadian Stockholm Junior Water Prize contest competes at the International Contest.
